Day 11: rainbow connection.

Every time I see one of these vintage wooden rainbow xylophones at a flea market or thrift shop, it goes in my cart. (Or as my Asheville friend Erica says, "wow, you really love those things" when we are shopping at the Goodwill.) I do. I love the idea of painting something musical and rainbow inspired on such a gorgeous toy and they make the sweetest wall hanging in any kids' room, music studio...or really anywhere. :o)

Scenes from a roadtrip home...

There's nothing like a road trip. And there is especially nothing like a roadtrip with Dave, Amy & the Rejmachers. Weeeee!
I think we had McDonald's 5 times in 6 days. This is my all-time record. I was doing pretty well for a while with my McDonald's boycott, until all I had was a stack of quarters and a dollar menu.

Just to help put you into this moment, Amy and I were rocking out to Anne Murray when I took this picture. Oh yeah we were.
What's better than a big, fun rainbow on your gaycation?
Oh, and I got to see Little B at the end of it all! (He did not want me to take his picture)
